I'm reading a fic by an author whom I generally avoid for a couple of reasons, the least of which is I generally don't like her writing. Like the plots are interesting, at least in summary, but then I start reading and I'm bored kiss of death in fiction and fashion. Except now I'm reading something and, like, dude! Interesting! So....I won Best Concept over at the tm_challenge, only to be a total failure at finishing my fic in time for this week's challenge. Le sigh. And it's sitting open in my taskbar and everything. Worse, I have several ideas/versions of this story running through my head. Oy.

Have you ever felt like you were on the brink of doing something bad/wrong/troublesome? And just knew, knew that you could do or not do it if you just would make up your mind about it right now? I think I'm there.

As J.R. says in his song Temptations, "Lord Jesus will you keep my mind, cuz I'm weak in the flesh and I'm about to wile out."

On the one hand I haven't been online b/c the connection at home has been horrendous. I mean ridiculously bad and only getting worse apparently.

But on the other hand I am sitting at my desk with a Verizon modem to take home for installation on Thurs. Woot to the hoot.

On the one hand: I had my tooth re-bonded, but this time I'm also going to shell out for the more permanent veneer to the sum total of 1500. Argh and ouch.

But on the other hand: I'm watching Hook, which is love, for the 1st and a half time (caught the latter part of it last night). Does anyone else watch this movie and have deep philosophical ( Read more... )

I don't know if I mentioned here, b/c I certainly burned my coworker's ear with it, but my mother has been getting on me lately about my wardrobe. Or lack of same.
